Long Lasting Moisturizing With Fillers? (Juvederm® Volite)

If you want to avoid spending on expensive moisturizing, anti-wrinkle creams and other unnecessary skincare products that often has hidden side-effects and contains harmful ingredients, we now introduce you something new which helps you stay moisturized and hydrated for up to 9 months with only one treatment.

The new treatment is the Juvederm® Volite that is an anti-aging injectable product specifically designed to improve the condition of the skin. It is based on Hyaluronic acid (HA) that delivers improvements in skin smoothness, hydration and elasticity. Its aim is to ensure long lasting results without the need of numerous treatments and it is suitable for all skin ages and types, even sensitive and breakout-prone ones. Furthermore, Volite can be applied on the face, neck, décolletage, and the hands as well. It is perfect especially for those who basically want to improve their skin quality and would like to see visible yet natural and subtle results instead of turning back the clock.

The reliability of this treatment is attributed to the Hyaluronic acid that is naturally produced in our skin by the cells in a certain amount and is responsible for making the skin smooth, glowing and hydrated. However, due to aging and the harmful environmental effects, its production is progressively decreasing over time. Acting as a magnet for moisture, HA makes the skin healthier and plumper and effectively diminishes the wrinkles by holding up to 6 liters of water. That is why Volite is an absolutely safe treatment that doesn’t leave any trace behind – the hyaluronic acid simply breaks down in our skin about in 12 months.

The essence of dermal fillers is based on the combination of low and high molecular weight Hyaluronic acid to increase the cross-linking efficiency of HA chains. Juvederm® Volite uses VYCROSS® which is one of the most innovative technologies that cosmetics industry uses. According to this, in contrast to most HA fillers using 100% high molecular weight, VYCROSS® uses only 10% high with 90% low molecular weight HA thus making a smoother filler and achieving smoother results. The difference is shown both in the results that are more natural and last longer, and the pain and swelling clients experienced after the curing also.

Before you decide to book a Juvederm® Volite treatment, you should note that those who are on a course of antibiotics or have taken Roaccutane within the last 6 months cannot be treated. It’s important to inform your medical practitioner about the further medication you are taking and to avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior. On the other hand, you should count on some tenderness, redness or bruising which will disappear within 1-2 hours after the treatment and should protect your skin from sun exposure, saunas and freezing temperature for 2 weeks.

As Juvederm® Volite requires a skilled injection technique, it must be performed by an experienced aesthetic doctor with artistic skills and professional hands. Don’t hesitate to ask from our professional team or book your treatment below!

How To Look After Your Skin In The Spring

Winter has successfully come and gone and its high time to re-think and adjust your skin care regimen – especially because brighter days are ahead which require a different routine.

  1. Time for sun protection
The number one anti-aging protection that all dermatologists agree on is sunscreen. For a maximum effect, pick a broad-spectrum sunscreen that contains anti-oxidants to block harmful UV rays and protect the skin from environmental pollutants and free radical damage. Opt for one with an SPF of 30 for your face and body. Sunscreen is important to avoid chronical conditions like skin cancer, and also other conditions like hyperpigmentation (commonly called as ‘brown spots’) and sun spots. Our tip: apply your sunscreen at least 30 minutes before going outside.
  1. Don’t forget to exfoliate
Heavy moisturizers and dry indoor heat that we used to have in winter, can leave our skin dry and dull. The best way to get rid of the unwanted dead skin cells is to scrub them off regularly. For the body, a manual scrub with microbeads or a loofah can both works amazingly. Furthermore, if you opt for a tan spray, a little exfoliating beforehand will help your spray go on more evenly. As far as face is concerned, a manual scrub (like a microdermabrasion device) or a chemical peeling can both eliminate dead skin cells. Our tip: feel free to alternate between the different methods, however make sure to limit it to twice a week to avoid skin irritation.
  2. Opt for lighter formulas
In spring time, your skin is generally oilier, so your complexion needs stronger skin care ingredients to help improve your skin tone and fight acne. Ditching your heavy creams that you used during the winter is almost a must – instead, look for airier lotions or serums. Especially for those with oily skin, it is important to use a gentle astringent to clear pores and dab away excess oil. Our tip: don’t forget to remove your make-up before going to sleep and apply a nourishing moisturizer that works until you are having your well-deserved rest.
  3. Drink enough water
It cannot be said enough, how important hydration is. Spring is commonly known as the season of rejuvenation, so get your glowing spring skin by drinking lots of water. Our tip: consume at least eight glasses of water every day.
