The treatments at Cocoon are all performed by our certified practitioners, RNs and physicians, while overseen by our consultant doctors. A consultation is absolutely necessary with our doctors because Cocoon uses an integrative approach. We need to have a clear understanding of your problem to design the right treatment plan for you with a combination of different modalities.
While you can pre-book your appointment in advance, we ask that you try to provide a 72 hour notice should you need to cancel or reschedule. That way, we can reschedule another client (who may be on the waiting list) in your slot.
During the pre-booking stage with our booking manager, you will be advised on the necessary time to arrive pre-treatment. This is dependent on the type of treatment you require, so it is best to check with your manager. We advise that you arrive early on treatment day, to relax and enjoy the beautiful and serene ambiance Cocoon Medical Spa has to offer.
During the booking process, you will be sent a comprehensive list of pre-treatment precautions. We advise that you adhere to the precautions to maximise and maintain results.
There is no single medical clinic or treatment facility anywhere in the world that can guarantee complication or problem-free procedures. Cocoon Medical Spa endeavor to work with you to reduce any treatment risk and encourage healing.
Cocoon’s ‘Shared Responsibility Policy’ asks for your cooperation to help yourself during recovery – essentially by following doctor’s advice (to the ‘T’) and take any pre and post treatment precautions.
Do your research and come prepared with questions. While you ask the questions, it is also a good idea to know your expectations. Write down as much as you would like to ask because we guarantee you won’t remember half of what you want to ask during consultation. A combination of pre-treatment jitters and the euphoric feeling of finally finding a solution, maybe? We don’t know. Just remember come prepared and also know that the doctor’s consultation is complimentary so if you don’t go ahead with any treatment, you have absolutely nothing to lose.
Most of Cocoon’s single treatments require 3 days to no downtime. However, if you require more than one treatment session (for best results), you will need at least 2 weeks between treatments – please check with your sales and booking manager how much time is required for your stay in Bali.
Use the proper recommended treatment cremes post treatment as recommended by your doctor – to hydrate and repair the skin, allowing for recovery under optimum conditions.
Even though non-surgical treatments require little downtime, many people report quicker healing and getting better results if they follow a stricter guideline to pre and post treatment precautions. Having a positive mental attitude is also very important for anything, including promoting healing. The following is a compilation of tips that will help you recovery best, though the list is not exhaustive.
This severely increases your risk of infections and delay healing. Even though our treatments are non-surgical, it is advisable to refrain from smoking 4 weeks pre and post treatment, to promote overall wellness and encourage healing. A couple glasses of wine here and there is fine, but try to go easy on the booze even though Bali bar hopping is a tempting activity.
These are great for reducing discomfort after laser or to reduce swelling.
Post-treatment recovery is dependent on how much rest you allow yourself to have, even with superficial skin treatments. Our bodies heal best with adequate rest and you’ll be surprised how much faster you heal.
An integral part of our philosophy is wellness as a foundation to beauty and youthfulness. A natural diet that is high in fresh, leafy greens, lean protein and fruits is key to healing and we should never underestimate the importance of proper hydration with at least 2 litres of water daily.
It’s difficult to resist dipping in the pool or heading out to the beach in tropical paradise like Bali. If you have to swim, try to do so after the minimal required downtime especially for facial procedures.
If you have face peels or other ablative laser treatments, it’s best to keep out of the sun, be diligent with the recommended daily moisturiser and a broad spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF30 to 40 + a good sunhat.
Beneficial vitamins for healing and recovery are Vitamin C. We have Vitamin IV (vitamin infusion) treatment available at the spa.
Having treatments in a foreign location may be a little daunting for some people. A credit card number is required to secure all Spa Bookings. Your credit card will only be charged in the case of no-show or cancellations less than 24 hours before your appointment.
If you would like to add, change or cancel any bookings or treatments, please give at least 24hours notice by email or telephone.
The doctor will consult with you and provide you a treatment plan. Both you and the doctor are under no obligation to proceed with procedures at any time. The doctor reserves the right to reject any patient if she/he feels that the treatments cannot give the patients the results that they are expecting.
Complimentary pick up and drop off service is based on availability, based on a first come first served basis, and this service will be booked and confirmed when you make your appointment.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time to complete our consultation form and to relax in our lounge. Please note if you are running late, as a courtesy to all our clients, all treatments will be completed as scheduled.
Late cancellations and no-shows impact on us significantly. The time for your treatments is reserved especially for you.

After mutually agreeing to the treatments, you will prepay for all treatments and your plan. Treatments cannot proceed without your agreement and payment.
Prices can change at any time. The final price you pay is the original price on the date when you made the booking. You are protected for any price rises after your booking is made.
After payment, we do not refund any packages/or part packages. We will gladly give you opportunity to let friends or families use the remaining credits/sessions.
This can not be used against any discounted treatments or be used in conjunction with any other offer, or gift certificate. Late cancellations could incur the forfeit of 1 part of series if less than 24 hrs is given.
Gift Certificate cannot be redeemed for cash or used against other offers.
Our Gift Certificate are valid for 1 year or have set expiry dates. If you do not use the certificate prior the expiry date it will be irrecoverable.
Gift Certificates cannot be extended if you contact us after the expiry date. Charges may apply up to 50% of the gift certificate if 4 weeks extension is required prior expiry date.

Cocoon Medical Spa employs both male and female doctors, and will place each patient with the therapist whose skills are best suited to the treatment requested. Please notify us if you have a preference for a doctor of a particular sex.
