Revok50 Skin Booster

Skin that holds on to its water.

Skin that holds its water feels softer and more supple. Revok50 is a course of fine injections for dry, dull or tired skin, and it reaches beyond the face. Your doctor can treat the neck, the décolletage and even the backs of your hands, the places that often show age first.

How it works: the change is in the skin

Each 2 ml syringe of Revok50 carries 50 mg of hyaluronic acid, which draws in water and holds it, and 195 mg of four amino acids. These are L-proline, L-hydroxyproline, glycine and L-lysine. Its large molecules, at 2,200 kDa, are meant to break down slowly.

Your doctor places it in the papillary dermis, the upper layer of the skin. It is not used to add volume, so it gives none of the contour a volumising filler would, and your face keeps its shape.

Where it can be used

Face, Cheeks, Around the mouth, Neck, Décolletage, Backs of the hands, Selected areas of the arms (after assessment)

What to expect

  1. Within several days

    Hydration tends to come first.

  2. Over the following weeks

Texture, elasticity and fine lines improve across the course of three sessions, about a month apart.

  3. Day 1 to 3

Redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising can show, then settle.

  4. After your course

The result can last several months.

Results vary, and your doctor will tell you what to expect for your own skin.

Your visit, step by step

A skin booster goes in point by point. Three seconds, filmed at Cocoon, no sound.
  1. Before

    • Tell your doctor what you take, including blood thinners, and about previous skin treatments
    • Mention your medical history, allergies, supplements and any earlier injectables
    • Pause retinoids and other strong actives for a few days, or as your doctor advises
    • Leave a few days before an important event, as bumps or bruising may still show
    • Skip alcohol the day before, as it can increase bruising
    • Keep taking prescribed medicine unless its prescriber says otherwise
    • Arrive with clean skin and no makeup
  2. The day

Your doctor cleanses the skin and may apply numbing cream first. Revok50 then goes in, point by point, and the session takes under an hour. You walk out with tiny raised bumps, which begin to settle within hours.

  3. Your first two weeks

    First 6 hours
No touching, rubbing or scratching. After that, use a mild cleanser and lukewarm water
    Day 1
Mild redness, tenderness, itching or swelling, and skin that feels dry or tight. No makeup for at least 12 hours, then light makeup with clean brushes or sponges
    24 to 48 hours
No direct sun, saunas, tanning beds or hot showers, and no hard exercise. Wear SPF 40 or higher. A clean cold compress, 15 to 20 minutes at a time, eases any swelling
    Days 2 to 3
Swelling often peaks, and small bumps, dryness or light peeling can show. Use mild, hydrating products only
    Days 4 to 5
Most redness and sensitivity settle, and the skin feels smoother. A bruise may still show
    Days 6 to 7
Most swelling and flaking have gone. Moisturiser, serums and a physical sunscreen can return
    Two weeks
Redness, bruising and swelling have usually cleared, and your full routine can come back gradually

    Drink plenty of water.

  4. Aftercare

    • Do not rub or massage the treated areas for 24 hours
    • No strenuous exercise, alcohol, hot showers, saunas or steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours
    • No scrubs or exfoliating acids for a few days, and no AHAs, BHAs or retinoids for at least 7 days
    • For 7 days, use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser, and no alcohol-based toners or strongly fragranced products
    • Wear SPF every morning, even indoors, and keep out of direct sun
    • Your second session is usually at least four weeks after the first
    • Contact us if anything unexpected develops
