Diamond Microdermabrasion

Cocoon Medical Spa’s advanced Diamond Ultrasonic Electroportation Microdermabrasion is the latest treatment which removes dead skin cells, smooth wrinkles, treats pimples and clears the complexion.

Firstly, the Micro scrubber technology uses ultrasonic waves to shake loose dead skin cells. The ultrasonic waves also create heat and vibration to give a pleasant massage which will drive creams and ampoules into the skin. It can be performed on light to dark skin, and treatment areas include the face, neck, chest, arms, elbows, knees, and more.

The procedure is non-surgical and involves virtually no discomfort or downtime.

Included in this treatment is a collagen mask, plus Cocoon’s 4 step skin treatment: aloe vera for soothing, hyaluronic acid for nourishing, aquaphor for moisturising and SPF 30 for protection.

How does Diamond Microdermabrasion works?

An adjustable vacuum pump (in a hygienically closed setting) gently ‘sweeps’ the skin’s surface to remove the first or topmost layer. The body interprets this as a mild injury and new cells are quickly re-grown. Mild swelling and redness may be initially visible between 2 and 48 hours.
With the topmost layer gone, healthy replacement cells take the effect of ‘baby smooth’ skin. Beneficial nutrients from creams or lotions penetrate easily because they are easily absorbed into the lower skin layers. Supplementing with condition-specific or vitamin infusions also speeds up treatment of acne, pigmentation, dull /dry skin, fine wrinkles and stretch marks.

Post Treatment Care

Refrain from sun exposure immediately following your visit and up to a week.
Moisturize well with nourishing and repairing medical grade skin care to help rebuild your skin’s natural defensive barrier.
Use at least a SPF 40 broad spectrum sunscreen to protect against UVA/UVB rays.
