How It Works
Teosyal RHA® 4 contains cross-linked hyaluronic acid, a gel-like substance designed to add volume and structural support beneath the skin.
The RHA stands for Resilient Hyaluronic Acid. Teoxane’s manufacturing process preserves long hyaluronic acid chains while creating a gel that can stretch and adapt to repeated facial movement.
RHA® 4 has the greatest volumising capacity within the Teosyal RHA® range. It is designed for dynamic, extended areas where the doctor wants to restore projection, support facial contours or soften deeper folds without creating a stiff appearance.
The product also contains lidocaine to improve comfort during injection.

What to Expect
Your treatment begins with a consultation and facial assessment. Your doctor will discuss the areas that concern you, assess your facial structure in rest and movement, and explain what can realistically be achieved.
The treatment area is cleaned and marked before the filler is injected using a fine needle or cannula. The technique, depth and amount of product depend on the treatment area and the result you want to achieve.
You may feel pressure or brief discomfort during the injections. Your doctor may gently shape the product after placement. The result is visible immediately, although temporary swelling can initially make the area appear fuller than the final outcome.
Preparing for Your Visit
Before Your Treatment
Tell your doctor about your medical history, allergies, medication, supplements and previous facial treatments. It is particularly important to mention any permanent or temporary filler already present in the intended treatment area.
Avoid scheduling filler treatment close to dental work, vaccinations, laser treatments, chemical peels or another procedure that may cause inflammation. Teoxane advises avoiding dental procedures during the 15 days before treatment.
Medication and supplements that affect bleeding may increase bruising. Do not stop prescribed anticoagulants, aspirin or other medication without permission from the doctor who prescribed them.
Avoid alcohol and prolonged sun exposure on the day before and the day of your appointment. Arrive with clean skin and, where possible, without makeup.

You will see an immediate change in volume and facial contour. However, temporary swelling means the final result should not be judged straight after treatment.
The filler generally settles over seven to fourteen days. Once settled, the treated area should appear more supported while continuing to move naturally with your expressions.
Teoxane advises that RHA® 4 may last approximately 15 to 18 months. Longevity varies according to the treatment area, amount injected, metabolism, facial movement and lifestyle.

After Your Appointment
Aftercare
Do not touch, press or massage the treated area unless instructed by your doctor. Avoid applying makeup for the first 12 hours.
For the first 24 to 48 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol and activities that may increase facial swelling. During the following two weeks, avoid prolonged sun or UV exposure, extreme cold, saunas and steam rooms.
Delay dental work and other facial aesthetic procedures for approximately two weeks after treatment. Use gentle skincare and apply daily sun protection.
Do not massage small lumps unless your practitioner specifically advises you to do so. Contact the clinic if swelling, pain or skin changes are increasing rather than improving.

Teosyal RHA® 4 must be administered by a qualified medical practitioner following a consultation and facial assessment.
Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising may occur after treatment and usually settles within several days. The treatment may not be suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, certain allergies or particular medical conditions.
Tell your doctor about previous fillers, medical treatments, allergies and medication before your appointment. Contact the clinic if you experience unusual or worsening symptoms after treatment.
