- Want to look like yourself, just a little more rested
- Would like to start early, as prevention
Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an infection near the injection area, or with certain neuromuscular conditions. Your doctor will talk this through with you first.

How it works: quieter muscles, softer lines
Each time you smile or squint, the muscles beneath your skin tighten and fold it. Repeat that thousands of times and the folds become lines.
Botox® by Allergan is a prescription medicine containing onabotulinumtoxinA. Your doctor places small amounts into chosen muscles, where it blocks the nerve signal.
The muscle pulls less, and the skin above lies smoother. The effect is temporary, so you stay in control.
Several areas can be treated in a single visit.
Where it can be used
Forehead lines, Frown lines, Crow’s feet, Bunny lines, Chin dimpling, Gummy smile
What to expect
- Day 1 to 2
The first change appears.
- Day 4 to 7
Any bruise fades, and the lines begin to soften.
- About 30 days
Your full result, at its best.
- Up to four months
The effect gradually fades. Many clients return to keep it.
Small bumps or redness usually settle quickly. Any tenderness, swelling, bruising or headache passes, so you can return to daily life promptly. Results vary.

Your visit, step by step

Before
- Tell your doctor what you take, including blood thinners and aspirin
- Mention injected antibiotics, muscle relaxants, sleeping medication, and allergy or cold medicines
- Keep taking prescribed medicine unless the doctor who prescribed it says otherwise
- Mention any botulinum toxin or filler in the last four months
- Skip alcohol the day before, as it can increase bruising
- Arrive with clean skin and little makeup on the area
The day
Treatment takes 10 to 15 minutes. Most people feel a brief pinch, and numbing cream is there if you would like it.
