Alpha-lipoic acid sets it apart
Alpha-lipoic acid is the name here you may not know, an antioxidant that works beside glutathione and vitamins C and E to protect cells against oxidative stress.
Vitamin C plays its part in normal collagen formation and immune function, A in skin, D in muscle and bone, and the B vitamins in energy and nerves. Saline is the hydrating base.

We watch you throughout, then the cannula comes out and a dressing goes on.
- Tell us what you take, including supplements, and about any kidney or heart condition.
- Say if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Say if you are having cancer treatment or take blood thinners.
- Eat something and drink water before you come.
- Expect a small dressing on your arm, and a little tenderness or bruising that passes.
- Drink water afterwards and keep the rest of the day easy.
- Contact us if anything unexpected develops afterwards.
- List the vitamins you take, as A, D and E can build up.
- High-dose vitamin C can affect some blood-glucose readings and cancer treatments.
