For the skin, not the shape
Juvéderm® SKINVIVE™ is a gel of modified hyaluronic acid, a moisture-attracting substance already present in your skin. Spread as droplets within the skin, the gel lets your skin hold on to its own moisture and softness. Adding volume is a job for Juvéderm® Voluma®.

Your visit
Your doctor cleans your skin, marks the points and places the gel through a series of small injections, with numbing cream first if it is needed. The gel contains lidocaine, too. Small raised points and a little swelling can show as you leave, and begin to settle within several hours.
- Tell your doctor what you take, including blood thinners, and about previous skin treatments.
- Leave a few days before an important event, as bumps or bruising may still show.
- Avoid alcohol the day before, as it can increase bruising.
- Arrive with clean skin and no makeup.
- Do not rub or massage the treated areas for 24 hours.
- No makeup for the first 12 hours.
- No strenuous exercise, alcohol, hot showers, saunas or steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours.
- Mild skincare only for a few days, with no scrubs or exfoliating acids.
- Keep out of direct sun and wear sunscreen every day.
- Contact us if anything unexpected develops afterwards.
- Mention any past reaction to hyaluronic acid filler or to lidocaine.
- Say if dental work or another facial procedure is recent or planned.
- Keep taking prescribed medicine unless the doctor who prescribed it says to stop.
