Colon Hydrotherapy
A treatment this private is best explained plainly, before you book. Warm, filtered water rinses the large intestine through a closed system, in a room of your own. Your therapist stays throughout.
- Treatment time
- About 45 minutes
- Time in clinic
- 60 to 90 minutes, with consultation and aftercare
- Available at
- Legian · Ubud · Canggu

Warm water does the work
A small disposable tube is placed in the rectum, and the water runs into the colon at a controlled temperature and pressure, again and again, loosening what is there. It all leaves through sealed tubing.
That clears the large intestine for a while. It does not draw “toxins” from the whole body, repair digestion or do the work of your liver and kidneys.
Your visit
You change in private and lie on the treatment bed, and your therapist explains each step before the tube goes in. For all 45 minutes they watch the flow, and ease it if you feel uncomfortable. Then the bathroom is yours before you dress.
- Tell your therapist about your health history, symptoms, medication and past abdominal or bowel procedures.
- Drink water and eat lightly afterwards, as loose stools can cost you fluid and salts.
- Keep the rest of the day easy, especially if you feel tired.
- Book ahead and our driver brings you from Kuta, Legian, Seminyak or Kerobokan, and back.
Is it right for you?
- Want a feeling of fullness to ease
- Already look after what you eat and drink
- Want it beside a massage or Vitamin IV therapy
Not during pregnancy, or with inflammatory bowel disease, recent abdominal surgery, or a heart or kidney condition.
Afterwards
Some people feel lighter straight away, and others over the next day or two. Most go back to their day. Results vary, and your therapist will say what to expect for you.
Cramping, bloating, nausea or light-headedness may follow. Serious problems are rare: infection, bleeding or a tear in the rectum or bowel. Please see a doctor for severe or lasting abdominal pain, fever, vomiting or heavy bleeding, or if you faint or cannot pass stool or wind.
Questions people ask
You stay covered, and waste goes straight into the closed system, so you see none of it and there should be no smell or mess.
It should not, though fullness, cramping, movement in your belly or the urge to go can come and pass. If anything hurts, tell your therapist at once.
Yes, if you feel comfortable and your symptoms and health history allow it. If bleeding is heavy, cramps are strong or you feel unwell, another day may be easier.
