Acne and scars
How long you stay changes what fits.
Is your skin still breaking out, or have the breakouts stopped and left marks? Acne scar treatment in Bali starts with that question, because the two are treated differently.
- Needling course
- Usually three sessions, four to six weeks apart
- Downtime
- None for LED, several days for Laser 3D
- Scar results
- First change within several weeks

Breakouts and scars differ
For breakouts, light and peels work on the skin’s surface. A scar softens as the skin grows new collagen, which is slow.
Dermapen and FRM are postponed while acne is deep, painful and inflamed, so if you have both, the scars wait until the breakouts settle. Your doctor plans the order with you.

For active skin
LED and peels for acne come as a course, so ask how many fit your stay. A peel is best judged at about two weeks, so book it early, before any tan, and keep to the shade afterwards.
Mention any acne medication, including recent isotretinoin.
For scars
A needling course is usually three sessions, four to six weeks apart, so a holiday holds one, and the skin goes on changing after you fly home.
Redness lasts a few days. Laser 3D needs untanned skin, and swimming waits until the skin heals, so it suits the start of a trip. Results vary, and complex scarring can need two treatments together.
Everything here except the dermatologist and Laser 3D is also on Monkey Forest Road in Ubud and at Echo Beach in Canggu.
