WHAT IS JUVEDERM® VOLITE?
Juvederm® Volite is an anti-aging injectable product specifically designed to improve the condition of the skin and to last up to nine months only with one treatment session. Unlike typical dermal fillers, Volite is a skin conditioning Hyaluronic acid (HA) gel that delivers improvements in skin smoothness (absence of fine lines), hydration and elasticity. Juvederm® Volite aims to deliver results that last and eliminate the need of multiple treatments. It can be injected intradermally and is suitable to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands of any skin types and ages. By containing the anaesthetic lidocaine, the pain is reduced during and after the treatment.
THE TECHNOLOGY OF JUVEDERM® VOLITE
Juvederm® Volite uses VYCROSS® technology, a unique manufacturing process which is the innovative combination of low and high molecular weight Hyaluronic acid to increase the cross-linking efficiency of HA chains. While most HA fillers use 100% high molecular weight, VYCROSS® uses only 10% high with 90% low molecular weight HA hence creating a smoother filler and reaching a smoother result. It means that clients are likely to experience less pain and swelling after the treatment and the results are more natural and long-lasting.
WHY IS HYALURONIC ACID USEFUL?
Hyaluronic acid is the key to smooth, flawless and hydrated skin. Our skin cells naturally produce it in a certain amount to maintain moisture levels and hydration as a humectant but due to aging process and environmental effects, it is gradually decreasing. It basically works as a magnet for moisture thus make your skin feels and appears plump and healthy. Besides, HA is a great ingredient to diminish your lines and wrinkles as it has the ability to hold up to six litres of water. A great benefit is that it is absolutely safe and works even for sensitive, breakout-prone or oily skin.
The treatment is suitable for:
- Face – requires 2 ml of Volite
- Neck – requires 2 ml of Volite
- Décolletage – requires 2 ml of Volite
- Back of hands – requires 1 ml of Volite
The results of Juvederm® Volite can personally vary and are not permanent so we recommend to repeat the treatment in every 6-9 months.
IS JUVEDERM® VOLITE SAFE?
As we mentioned above, the main element of Juvederm® Volite is Hyaluronic acid which is naturally present in our skin, that is why allergy or skin tests are not required. Additionally, HA completely gets broken down by the body approximately in 12 months, leaving behind no trace of the curing. According to this, it is an absolutely safe treatment but like the most medical skin procedures, it must be performed by an experienced aesthetic doctor with artistic skills and professional hands which you are ensured to get at Cocoon Medical Spa.
BEFORE THE TREATMENT
First of all, prior your treatment you should avoid drinking alcohol at least for 24 hours. Secondly, you should always inform your medical practitioner about any medication you are taking, such as Warfarin, aspirin or any other anti-coagulant medications. Finally, you should definitely avoid the treatment if you are on a course of antibiotics or have taken Roaccutane within the last 6 months.

AFTER THE TREATMENT
Although 95% of patients of the Allergan research treated with Juvederm® Volite were able to return to social engagements one day after the treatment, there are some tiny inconveniences to count on. The small raised areas at the injection site will disappear within 1-2 hours after the treatment, while the common bruising, tenderness and redness will resolve in a few days in case of sensitive skin. To redound and quicken the healing process, you should avoid drinking alcohol and applying makeup for 12 hours and exercise for 48 hours after the treatment. Take special care to stay away from sun exposure, UV light, saunas and freezing temperature for 2 weeks.
